Dear Parent/Guardian:

The Student Council Advisors and Class Council Advisors at Cranston High School West have joined together to develop this information sheet for you in preparation for the Winter Ball or Prom. This information and these tips have come to fruition through our collective experience in organizing these formal events. With the support of our administration, we are sharing this information with you.

Respectfully,
The Student Council and Class Council Advisors

6. If the event is held on a Saturday, the student must be present in school on that Friday in order to attend
the event.

Suggestions
1. This event should be an enjoyable evening for your child, but it should not be a costly evening. Avoid
purchasing expensive photo packages and flowers.
2. In an attempt to avoid theft, limit personal items brought to the event. Consider using a disposable
camera instead of an expensive camera.
3. If your child is going in a limousine, no one should be left alone with the limousine driver. The last two
people in the limousine should get dropped off at the same stop.
