.8 FTE HEALTH OCCUPATIONS TEACHER:  Cranston Area Career and Technical Center (Grant Funded-1 year positions).  The Cranston Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for this position.  Vocational Health Occupations Certificate required.  Potential exists that a licensed registered nurse could apply for emergency certification through the Rhode Island Department of Education.  Completed applications and letters of intent must be received in the Human Resources Office by Thursday, September 16, 2010.

 

SITE COORDINATOR, 21st CENTURY PROGRAM: 20 hrs/wk, 10 months/Bain+2- The Cranston Public Schools is reposting a position for a Site Coordinator position.  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  assisting and providing support in the general operations of the 21st Century after-school programs, with a focus on contact with students, families, and staff; managing entire database for the 21st Century Program and complete registration activities.  Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with experience preferred.  Must have administrative/supervisory/coordination experience in education and /or human service field.  Must possess valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle.  Proof of insurance required.  Job specification and applications are available in the Human Resources Office, 845 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920 (application can be downloaded on the dropdown line for certified applications.  Completed applications and letters of intent must be received in the Human Resources Office by Thursday, September 16, 2010.

SUBSTITUTE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS:  ALL AREAS:  The Cranston Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for this position.  Applications and Letters of Intent will be accepted in the Human Resources Office.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED:  Special Education, Middle, Secondary, Early Childhood Special Education; English; Science; Mathematics; World Languages; Physical Education; Art; Music; Library; Nurse Teachers   MUST BE RHODE ISLAND CERTIFIED.

Pay scale is as follows:

                                1-30 Days        Rate = $68.00 Per Diem
                                31-60 Days      Rate = $76.00 Per Diem
                                61-135 Days    Rate = $95.00 Per Diem
                                136 Days or more = Step 1

Teacher Assistants must have an approved Training Program Certificate and the ETS Para Pro Test or an Associates Degree. Rate: $8.55 per hour.
