AMERICORP MEMBER – NON-CERTIFIED/PART TIME/JANUARY – AUGUST/APPROX. 25 HRS PER WEEK: Start date January 5, 2009, Monday through Friday, 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. Member must be 18 yrs. of age or older with experience working with children and groups. Two years of college preferred. Will be responsible for creating and implementing after school arts and environment enrichment classes, green school initiatives, and community service events to Cranston and Woonsocket students. Member will receive $5,000 living allowance, $1,800 educational award upon completion of service, student loan forbearance for qualified loans, and individual health insurance. Must commit to 675 hours of service. SUBSTITUTE SECRETARIES - $9.00/HOUR. The Cranston Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for this position.  Completed applications and letters of intent must be received in the Human Resources Office.

 

SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIANS:  3:00 PM – 7:00 PM/$9.00 HR. (MAY LEAD TO PART TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS:  The Cranston Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for this position.  Completed applications and letters of intent must be received in the Human Resources Office.

SUBSTITUTE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS:  ALL AREAS:  The Cranston Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for this position.  Applications and Letters of Intent will be accepted in the Human Resources Office.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED:  Special Education, Middle, Secondary, Early Childhood Special Education; English; Science; Mathematics; World Languages; Physical Education; Art; Music; Library; Nurse Teachers   MUST BE RHODE ISLAND CERTIFIED.

Pay scale is as follows:

                                1-30 Days        Rate = $70.00 Per Diem
                                31-60 Days      Rate = $80.00 Per Diem
                                61-135 Days    Rate = $100.00 Per Diem
                                136 Days or more = Step 1

Teacher Assistants must have an approved Training Program Certificate and the ETS Para Pro Test or an Associates Degree. Rate: $9.00 per hour.
