Cranston’s Teacher of the Year- Mrs. Stephanie DiChiro
1985 was a very good year for Cranston Public Schools as several exceptional teachers were hired. Among those teachers was Stephanie DiChiro. Stephanie is a first grade teacher at Garden City Elementary School who works tirelessly to meet all the unique needs of her students. Many years ago, I was fortunate to work with Mrs. DiChiro and saw firsthand her ability to inspire students to be great readers and mathematicians. She understands that students learn in a variety of ways and the ‘one size fits all’ style does not work.
Mrs. DiChiro has earned the respect of her fellow educators and student’s families as she attends every school event, serves on school committees, hosts First Grade Nights, and the always delightful Author’s Tea. She truly loves her students, and cares about their families. Congratulations to Mrs. DiChiro and to all our educators.
