The Cobra News Desk

In celebration of Pi Day (mathematically speaking, that is 3.14) the Hot Shot Cobras are holding a pie throwing raffle to raise money for the Haiti relief operation. There are limited tickets being sold for $10 per ticket. You will have the opportunity to throw a pie at either Mr.Corrente or Mrs.Magnelli if your name is drawn. Only students who purchase tickets will be admitted to the cafeteria for the contest. Tickets will be sold at lunch as well as after school. Again, only a limited amount of tickets are being sold for the opportunity to "throw a pie for a purpose" and support this endeavor.

Any 8th grade student interested in auditioning for the Cranston West Falconettes or Westernettes can pick up a informational sheet in the main office before or after school

Save the Haitian Nation!

Do you have any extra clothing lying around? How about shoes you've grown out of? Well, the recent tragedy in Haiti has left people homeless, with little to nothing left. To do our part in helping Haiti, Project Respect is organizing a clothing drive from March 8th-May 31st. Each team will receive a box and all items will be collected every Thursday during Period 1. The team that collects the most clothing items will receive a doughnut party. Let's all team up to Save the Haitian Nation!!!

Since November, we collected close to 4,000 more box tops for our March 1st submission. We have raised almost $1,000.00 in just five months!!! Although our next submission date is not until next October, we will continue collecting box tops for the remainder of the year.
