TEAM RULES AND EXPECTATIONS AND GOALS
Thunderbird Team Expectations and Policies

To meet the goals of our team, each student must be aware of the following team expectations and policies.

Be on time for class.

Homework and class work assignments must be on time and neat. Torn, wrinkled and illegible papers are not acceptable.
Books must be covered and brought to class each day.
Pens, pencils, and all other necessary materials must be brought to class each day.
Proper grammar, punctuation and spelling must be used in all classes.
Independent reading materials (Accelerated Reader) should be carried at all times to make the best use of free time.
Gum chewing is not allowed in school.
Physical contact is not allowed.
Established rules must be followed when a teacher is absent.

In addition, students are expected to obey all of the regulations in the Western Hills Student Handbook.

SCIENCE:

HOMEWORK INFORMATION
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Homework is given three or four times a week

MATH:
Homework is given three or four times a week

ENGLISH:
Written homework is given two to four times a week.
Reading homework is assigned every day as well as weekends.

SCIENCE:
Homework and Lab Reports are given about 2 to 3 times per week.

TEST AND QUIZ INFORMATION
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Extra help is available as needed.

MATH:
Four to five quizzes are given each quarter
Two tests are given each quarter

ENGLISH:
Quizzes are given after assigned reading.
Tests are given once a week and writing assignments are given throughout the quarter.

SCIENCE:
Quizzes are given every Friday unless notified.
Tests are given twice per quarter.
A final exam will be given at the end of each unit.
